Purpose of the Forum

Postby GS65JGS » Wed Aug 08, 2007 9:48 am

The Forum provides a user with the the opportunity to share suggestions and ideas on how they may be accomplishing a task and, at the same time, pick up ideas on how they can more effectively use the software based on what other users are doing. However, if you have a question that is support related, it is better to contact VMS support directly. Although VMS monitors the Forum, it is not done every day and is not the medium to get your support questions answered. If the support staff resolves a problem for you, please feel free to post the resolution on the forum as it will become a good knowledge base for other users. When the VMS support staff feels there may be an area that is generating repeated questions, they will also try and post the resolution.

Contact VMS directly with Support Requests

Postby whelms » Wed Aug 15, 2007 4:06 pm

After VMS Support addresses your request, this User Forum is THE PLACE to share the solution, and the original question or problem with the other users.

Thank you Wade, for providing this service. It is interesting to read how other people do things and the short time at the VMS conference does not allow for learning and listening to everyone. Thanks again and Happy New Year to all.
