Miami-based Edd Helms Group Releases 10QSB for First Quarter 2007
Edd Helms Group released their 10QSB to the SEC on December 15th for
the first quarter in fiscal 2007. For the three months ended August 31, 2006,
Revenues in 2007 were $5,922,054 compared to $4,714,326 in 2006, an increase of approximately 25.6%
over those reported in 2006. Income from operations before taxes in 2007 were $385,769 compared to $184,581 in 2006,
an increase of approximately 209%.
Condensed business segment revenues
reported revenues and income before taxes as follows: Electric revenues in 2007 were $2,566,193 compared to $1,895,454 in 2006. Electrical income in 2007 was $62,099 compared with $163,569 in 2006. HVAC revenues in 2007 were $2,593,604 compared to $2,035,018 in 2006. HVAC income in 2007 was $250,761 compared to $104,756 in 2006.
Datatelcom revenues in 2007 were $762,257 compared to $783,854 in 2006. Datatelcom income in 2007 was $72,909 compared with a loss in 2006 of $83,744. Prior to 2006 Datatelcom segmented revenues
were reported under the Electric segment. According to Dean Goodson, Chief
Financial Officer, the growth in revenue
can be attributed to positive economic conditions and a continued company wide focus to grow revenues by adding additional sales staff. The increase in first quarter 2007 income compared with 2006 can be attributed to a focus on growing all companies through hiring quality employees, controlling cost, measuring performance by analyzing key process indicators and budget variances, improving relationships with existing customers and developing relationships with potential customers. The net income for the three months ending August 31, 2006 was consistent with
expectations.
