wanted to be sure you were ready to apply for federal tax
credits pertaining to air conditioning purchases. While
deadlines have passed for 2011 applications, we wanted to get
you ready with knowledge of the 2012 Tax Credits.
What is included for 2012? Well, 30% the costs (up from 10%
in 2011) towards your air conditioning expenses on principal
homes and second homes qualify. As with 2011, rentals do not
qualify for the credits.
The credits also boast new technologies such as geothermal
heat pumps (powered by the ground rather than outside air to
heat/cool air and water in your home utilizing natural heat from
the Earth. All Energy Star geothermal heat pumps qualify. Also,
residential small wind turbines benefit from the credits,
including installation costs.

which are said to pay you back themselves with positive ROI are
